Custom Zoom meeting notes

An agent automatically gets Zoom transcripts and writes customized notes and action items.

AI Idea of the Week

I don’t take notes in meetings.

If you’ve met with me this year, don’t worry, I was still paying attention and there absolutely are notes about what we talked about. My memory isn’t remotely good enough to forego having notes! But I didn’t have to split my attention between taking notes and listening to what you were saying. I was present in the conversation AND I have notes. And I didn’t have one of those AI note-taker apps join the meeting as a phantom attendee.

How am I doing this? AI of course! I built an automation that gets the transcript from Zoom after it’s ready, sends it to Claude to extract the exact notes I want to capture, and saves it to my CRM. Claude gets instructed to pull out specific information that I care about: a summary of the whole conversation, action items I agreed to, any relevant dates we discussed, etc. There’s a human in the loop step that gives me a chance to review the notes and make any edits or corrections before it’s saved. (I’ll explain human in the loop steps in more detail next week.)

All this happens automatically, so I don’t have to remember to kick off a task or launch Claude Desktop and tell it to do its notes thing. My mind is free to have conversations, connect with who I’m talking to, AND know that I won’t miss anything.

Remember last week’s AI Idea of the Week about my AI Chief of Staff Eva? The dates Claude captures get dropped into her queue so that I get reminders about when I need to follow up with people. So not only are the notes saved, but the follow-ups are already in my To-Do list.
